101 things in 1001 days

I have created a 101 in 1001 list, inspired by the wonderful Mackenzie Horan. This is a list of 101 goals/things that I wish to accomplish in 1001 days (about 2.75 years). These goals that I set for myself will start today and will hopefully be completed by July 3, 2018. I’m also going to add a tab to the top of my blog so that readers can follow along on my progress for the next 1001 days!

Personal:

  1. Actually come up with 101 things… (started this list in August)

2. Get a drivers license

3. Get my own car

4. Get a credit card

5. Save up $x,xxx in my savings account (keeping amount hidden)

6. Get my own apartment

7. Read 50 new books

8. Read 5 biographies

9. Invest in a Kate Spade purse

10. Wake up at 6:30 every day for two weeks

11. Go to sleep before 11 every day for two weeks

12. Go skinny dipping

13. Cook for a holiday dinner

14. Purchase a new laptop of my choice

15. Donate to my sorority and to my college

16. Learn how to cook one nice thing for each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snack)

17. Go on a weekend getaway alone

18. Host a dinner party

19. Re-decorate my childhood/current bedroom

20. Re-vamp my wardrobe by going on a shopping spree

21. Make 10 new recipes from Pinterest

22. Grow my hair out as long as possible before cutting

23. Find my signature scent

24. Learn how to style my hair 5 new ways

25. Read one French novel

26. See the Boston Ballet Nutcracker

27. Attend at least one ASA Boston alum event

28. Turn my Greek t-shirts into a quilt

29. Find the right lipstick shade for myself

30. Get customized stationary to write letters on

31. Go to a comedy show

32. Try 10 new restaurants

33. Attend a fashion show

34. Reconnect with my Paris host family

35. Blog about 5 personal topics

36. Read for 30 minutes a night for a month

37. Vote in an election

38. Do not use my cell phone before bed for at least one week

39. Get a professional massage

40. Treat myself to a mani-pedi

41. Go makeup free for one week

42. Unplug for 24 hours

43. Have breakfast/coffee while watching the sunrise for a week

Blog/Career: 

44. Design my own blog layout for my personal brand

45. Host a giveaway with other bloggers

46. Get my first “real” job

47. Host a giveaway alone

48. Publish every day for a week

49. Get to 1000 followers–Instagram, Twitter, and emilyriane.com

50. Guest post for another blogger

51. Attend 5 webinars

52. Partake 5 tweet chats in one month

53. Get published on the Huffington Post

54. Get published by my dream company–It’s a secret for now!

55. Take at least one course at a college to further my education

56. Attend a conference or a lecture series

57. Take a workshop to better my passions (blogging, career, writing, etc.)

58. Plan out blog posts a month in advance and stick to it!

59. Schedule social media posts for 5 days so that I spend less time on them

60. Publish all 365 blog posts from Dana Fox’s book

61. Create business cards

62. Make at least $100 from blogging

63. Get published in a local publication

64. Get sponsored by a company

65. Create a series on my blog

66. Take the GRE

Doing Good:

67. Volunteer twice a year

68. Donate money to a charity of choice once a year

69. Pay for a strangers meal

70. Pay for a strangers coffee

71. Donate old clothes twice

72. Start recycling at home

Family/Friends:

73. Take a family photo

74. Attend Alumni Weekend at Roanoke

75. Send out hand written letters to 10 people

76. Send 5 “just because” gifts to friends

77. Visit my sister in whatever country she moves to

Sports:

78. Learn how to golf

79. Attend an NHL game

80. Attend an NFL game

81. Attend a Red Sox game

82. Learn how to paddle board

83. Learn how to ski or snowboard

Health:

84. Get a gym membership OR a yoga/Pilates membership

85. Pick 1 fitness class to attend at least once a week

86. Go on a run every day for two weeks

87. Have fruit/yogurt for dessert instead of sweets for a month

88. Go carb free for one week

89. Switch out all coffee for tea for one week

90. Invest in a fitbit

91. Be able to run 5k

92. Learn how to properly lift weights

Travel:

93. Visit 5 new states

94. Go back to Paris

95. Go to New York City for a weekend

96. Go to a vineyard for a wine tasting

97. Visit the West Coast

98. Go on a road trip

99. Go to a brewery

100. Visit one new country

101. Go to a parade in Boston and/or New York

  • Great list. I first saw the 101 in 1001 on Pink Champagne Problems and now I’m thinking of starting my own. Good luck with completing your items!
