Fourth of July Weekend

I truly enjoy the little things. Although I shouldn’t be describing the Fourth of July fireworks display as a little thing, I seriously could not help but smile during the whole show. My town goes all out, and it’s a huge deal, but I wouldn’t trade that for anything. Throughout the weekend we have what’s called the Festival of Arts. There are events around town, concerts in the park, pop-up shops, artisan fairs, and of course- the fireworks. It’s a huge event that brings people from all of the world to our little seaside town to celebrate one of our favorite weekends of the year.

Since starting a full time job, I’ve really enjoyed my weekends so having a long weekend was even better. I am still recovering from lack of sleep for the past couple days, but it was worth it. I got to spend quality time with my sister and my friends, enjoy my beautiful town, and watch the fireworks from a perfect spot. I even went swimming for the first time all summer! We have a dock in the harbor at Crocker Park, which has always been a favorite place of mine. The water was freezing, but I loved every second of it!
