Where Have I Been Since August?

2018 is here, and I’m ready to bring my blog back. This blog post will be short and sweet, just a mini update of why my blog has been in limbo.

Life happens. And sometimes, it’s not always easy to dedicate the time I wish I could to my blog. Some major life changes have happened since my last post, most importantly, I finally moved to Boston. It’s something that I wanted to do for the longest time, and I was finally able to make it happen.

While all of the craziness and life changes were happening, I put my blog on the back burner. Even though in August, I thought I would be able to blog once a day even planning out a full month of content. I also got one of my best friends on board to write a guest post – which was amazing. I just let my blog fall into the background despite it being one of the most important things in my life.

There have been many times in the past where I openly dedicate myself to being more involved with my blog. But, I always seem to fail at these attempts at being a steady blogger. I suppose that fail isn’t the right word because blogging isn’t supposed to be a pass/fail type of thing. There’s just so much pressure in the blogging world that it almost feels like a competition to be the best, especially when it comes to quality, sponsored content.

Every single time, I wanted to be ‘better about blogging’ to fit the standards and expectations I’ve been exposed to in the blogging community. I think that’s why I often made the promise I would be more active, more present, and all around better at blogging.

I wish all of us bloggers could forget about the competition and just enjoy blogging, but unfortunately, that will never happen. So for me, I’m just going to blog on my terms – whenever I want – and just enjoy blogging the same way that I used to.

So, welcome back to my blog… again – enjoy!

Love this! Those are the exact same reasons why I stopped blogging. But then I realized, I want to write just to write – who cares who sees it!
