So. I said just a few days ago that I would be posting daily, or at least trying. Yesterday, I had planned a blog post, but I fell asleep before finishing it on Wednesday night… I'm off to a rocky start. But, I'm back and bringing back one of my favorite roundups on my blog – Currently Loving! I actually haven't done one of these posts in a long, long time, so I am excited to share what I'm currently loving!

Getting my Style Fix with Stitch Fix

Posted in Fashion
on August 2, 2017

I think it’s safe to say that I have a shopping problem. Well, it’s not as much a problem as it is a healthy obsession, which works out in my favor because I can write about it. Though working a full-time job doesn’t leave a lot of free time in my schedule to actually make it to the mall. So, a while back, I decided to try Stitch Fix. I love the clothes they send, the budget is flexible, and the personalized notes from my stylist always make my day!

This is the cold shoulder top my stylist picked for my most recent fix! Read More

Happy August! Today is the start of my blogging experiment, me blogging {nearly} every day for a month. I thought I would kick things off with something fun. I’ve partnered with JORD  to share my summertime style, and share my favorite JORD wood watch!

I am obsessed with this watch! The style I’m wearing is the Cora series – Zebrawood & Turquoise. JORD has many watch options on their site for both men and women. There are different grains of wood, different styles, and different colors – you’re definitely going to find a watch you love!

The Blog is Officially Two – Happy Blogiversary to Me!

Posted in lifestyle, Personal
on July 31, 2017

Okay, wow. Happy blogiversary to me! My blog officially turned two on July 29th. It seems like my first blogiversary just happened, and I’m in shock that I’m already celebrating year two! This year, I feel like I have many of the same sentiments that I had last year. My blog is growing, I’m personally growing, but my blogging frequency isn’t as high as I’d hoped. While I am still working at that, I wanted to write a little bit of a reflection on how some things have changed over the last two years.

What I Love about NYC

Posted in Travel
on July 11, 2017

NYC has forever been a favorite city of mine. Even before I spent a decent amount of time in the city, I loved it. I grew up with the idea that if you wanted your dreams to come true, you needed to either be in NYC or Hollywood – I have shows like Gossip Girl to thank for that. As an adult, I’m not sure how true that is, but I will always admit that NYC is a magical place; it’s unlike any other city in the world.

Foodie Adventures: Chicago

Posted in lifestyle, Travel
on June 8, 2017

In my last post, I wrote all about my amazing trip to Chicago. While I did highlight all aspects of my trip, I left out my favorite part… the food!

We tried a new restaurant every night, and every night I tried something I had never eaten before. I would continuously say I refuse to eat something, give it a try, and then enjoy it. So in the end I learned I should stop being so stubborn when it comes to trying certain foods because I will probably end up loving it.

If it sounds/looks like we ate a lot of food, it’s because we shared it all tapas style… but also, we really ate a lot of food. We tried new wines at every meal, so it’s safe to say this was the best foodie adventure I’ve had so far!

RPM ItalianThe first night there, we went to RPM Italian, which is the restaurant of Giuliana and Bill Rancic! The food here was amazing – definitely a great way to start a week in Chicago! We started with shredded Brussels sprouts and an incredible cheese platter. For the main course, we had Carbonara and Maine Lobster Ravioli. We got both, because we couldn’t decide and wanted to try it all!

Cheeses & meats with rolls, jam, honey, & olives

Pasta! Left – lobster ravioli & Right, Carbonara

A Week in the Windy City

Posted in Personal, Travel
on May 25, 2017

Over the past week, I accomplished so many things that made me proud of myself. I traveled to Chicago aka The Windy City (which definitely lives up to its name!), for the first time ever. As a part of my job, I plan trade shows which is a totally new area for me. But, with the guidance and help of my coworker, we executed an amazing show this past week! We also got to adventure around the city which was a great way to end our long days of work. Read More

Moving Forward with Happiness

happiness

It’s so easy to hold onto a person or a behavior when it provides you with so much comfort. While it can add stability to life, if what you’re holding onto is toxic, it only brings negativity into your life. I have found that I am one to hold onto these bad things, both physically and emotionally, in my life. Finding ways to let go can allow you to be happier, healthier, and generally more positive.

By no means am I an expert at removing negativity and only focusing on positivity. Honestly, I am still working on all of these things and trying to remember the importance of choosing happiness, every day. This is one of those posts where I’m writing it for myself, in hopes that it resonates with you, too.

Here’s what I’ve learned. Read More

Subscription Boxes You Need to Try

Posted in Fashion, lifestyle
on May 3, 2017

I’m always a little hesitant to try out new subscription boxes. You never know what you’re going to get. One thing I do like though, is receiving packages. There’s just something wonderful about being at work all day and coming home to a package full of new things. I decided to take some chances and try out some new subscription box services.

Here are the boxes I’ve been loving that you’re going to love too! Plus, there are a couple freebies when you use some of these links.winc Read More
