A Weekend of Indulgence

I indulged a lot this past weekend, whether it be on food, shopping, or adventuring. For the sake of this blog post, I'm going to start my weekend on Thursday and end it on Saturday. Reason being that on Thursday I went to a private shopping event in the city, so it was basically the kick-off of my weekend. I'm also ending my weekend on Saturday because I was in the city again on Saturday, but then I went to work Saturday night, and then binge watched SVU all day Sunday... So while my Sunday was relaxing, I don't think it's truly worth highlighting in this post- but if you ever want to do nothing for a day I highly recommend binge watching SVU episodes. On Thursday night, Rachael Thomas of Threads for Thomas co-hosted a private shopping event with Jenna from Boston Chic Party at Best Dressed Charlestown. We sipped champagne, ate cupcakes, and shopped their collection amazing jewelry and designer dresses. At Best Dressed you can rent designer dresses for every day wear or for a special event, and it's all at amazing prices. I bought a pair of adorable earrings, which I am so excited to style soon!IMG_7959On Friday, I got a package from ILYMIX, including some gorgeous necklaces and some sunnies! The sunnies are mirrored, with a pink tint on the front so they're perfect for summer. I got a couple statement necklaces, one pink and one blue, and they're too cute!If you want to order anything from ILYMIX, you can apply the code EmRiane20 at checkout to get 20% off! All of the products are reasonably prices, so the extra 20% off makes it even better!IMG_7960IMG_7958IMG_7957On Saturday, my friend Heather and I went into Boston for the Rue La La x Cotton Pop-Up Shop on Newbury Street. Unfortunately, Jacey of Damsel in Dior was only there on Sunday, so I didn't get to meet her.All of the clothes at the sale were perfect for summer! I loved that they had everything in themed sections of the store, had a DJ, a photo booth that took gifs, and a fashion illustrator. It was such a fun shopping event!IMG_7961IMG_7910Last but not least, we also went to brunch at one of our favorite restaurants, The Met Bar Back Bay. We had never gone for brunch before, but I definitely want to go again! They had a special blood orange mimosa which was absolutely amazing. I also ordered Nutella stuffed French toast, which had cinnamon sugar on it, caramelized bananas, and salted caramel sauce. It's safe to say I was in a sugar coma for the next 24 hours.... It was the best brunch food I've tried lately, and I highly recommend it! (But maybe split it with someone because I couldn't eat it all myself!)IMG_7920FullSizeRender (3)I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
