What I Love about NYC

NYC has forever been a favorite city of mine. Even before I spent a decent amount of time in the city, I loved it. I grew up with the idea that if you wanted your dreams to come true, you needed to either be in NYC or Hollywood - I have shows like Gossip Girl to thank for that. As an adult, I'm not sure how true that is, but I will always admit that NYC is a magical place; it's unlike any other city in the world. The People | If you ask anyone in NYC what they love about the city, every response will be unique, because every person in the city is unique. There's energy in the city that I thrive off of, and finding the perfect words to describe it is hard. It's a vibe that is a mix of confidence fearlessness, happiness, and ambition: I love it.The Food | Whatever you're craving, New York has it. Some of the best restaurants are in New York, as well as some of the best foodie creations. Typically I would hate eating every meal out for a week straight, but it's hard not to in New York! It's an added bonus that most of the food is picture perfect. With the rise of social media, chefs now know that presentation is equally as important as the taste because chances are, the customer will snap a picture and post it to Instagram. The Style | It's not surprising, there are a lot of very stylish people in New York. Obviously, as the city is full of fashion moguls, bloggers, models, and just very trendy people. While many people are wearing the latest trends, others are embracing their own fashion sense. It seems as if all New Yorkers style themselves with ease, it just comes naturally to them. I know that's not totally true, but for lack of a better word, everyone seems so cool. You are literally never bored | There is so much to do in New York aside from walking around the city and sightseeing. There are museums, historical buildings, Broadway musicals, concerts, plays, shops, restaurants, meet-ups, and so much more. It doesn't matter if you're in the city for a week, months, or years - it is nearly impossible to be bored. I most recently spent a week in the city and in addition to eating a lot, I went to The MET, went shopping, saw Kinky Boots on Broadway, walked the Brooklyn Bridge, and had an overall fantastic week! I guess this post sounds a little bit touristy. But, I admire those who live in NYC, and I adore the beautiful city. In the future, I would love to move to NYC, even just for a summer. Being in NYC even for a week inspired me in so many ways. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to the city!
